         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5, 2001,  
         the House Committee on Public Safety met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, Bob, at  
         11:21 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Bob; Berman; Gutierrez; Hupp;  
                   Villarreal, Mike (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Keel; Driver; Isett; King, Phil (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the February 26, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 5, 2001, minutes for the House  
         Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected minutes  
         were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 12, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 19, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the March 26, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the April 2, 2001, minutes for the House  
         Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected minutes  
         were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the April 9, 2001, minutes for the House  
         Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected minutes  
         were authorized without objection. 
          
         The chair directed that the April 30, 2001, minutes for the  
         House Committee on Public Safety be corrected. The corrected  
         minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 11:24 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
