CORRECTED MINUTES
On May 5, 2001, the House Committee on Public Safety authorized
the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House
Committee on Public Safety held on April 30, 2001. The following
are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on April 25, 2001, the House
Committee on Public Safety met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, Bob, at
8:17 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Turner, Bob; Berman; Gutierrez; Hupp;
Isett (5).
Absent: Representatives Keel; Driver; King, Phil; Villarreal,
Mike (4).
A quorum was present.
SB 1583
The chair laid out SB 1583.
Chairman Turner explained the measure.
Representative Turner, Bob moved that SB 1583, without
amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the
Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed
by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Turner, Bob; Berman;
Gutierrez; Hupp; Isett (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Keel; Driver; King, Phil;
Villarreal, Mike (4).

The chair laid out HB 1926.
The chair recognized Representative Miller to explain the
measure.
