         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17,  
         2001, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Gray, at 9:35 a.m.

         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Delisi offered an amendment to the measure.  
          
         The amendment was withdrawn without objection.

         Representative Longoria moved that SB 11, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
