         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 15, 2001, the House Committee  
         on Pensions & Investments met in a formal meeting and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Tillery, at 12:05 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Tillery; Woolley; Crownover, Myra;  
                   George; Rangel; Salinas (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Goodman; Telford; Williams (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1569 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1569. 
          
         (Representatives Goodman, Telford and Williams now present.) 
          
         Representative Rangel moved that SB 1569, without amendments, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Tillery; Goodman; Rangel;  
                             Salinas; Telford (5).  
           
         Nays:               Representatives Woolley; George (2).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     Representatives Crownover, Myra;  
                                  Williams  (2).  
           
         Absent:        None  (0).  
           
         At 12:20 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
