         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 2, 2001, the House Committee  
         on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was called to  
         order by the chair, Representative Naishtat, at 9:45 a.m.

         The chair laid out SB1245. 
          
         Representative Raymond offered an amendment to the measure.

         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into  
         a committee substitute. 
          
         Representative Raymond moved that SB1245, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
