         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 17, 2001, the House Committee  
         on State, Federal & International Relations met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Hunter, at 8:30 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Hunter; Najera (2). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Moreno, Paul; Berman; Chavez; Elkins;  
                   Madden; Miller; Raymond (7). 
          
         The committee heard invited testimony from Ms. Sandra Pickett  
         and Ms. Peggy Rudd regarding the Texas State Library and  
         Archives Commission. (See attached witness list) 
          
         (Representative Miller now present.) 
          
         (Representative Chavez now present.) 
          
         The committee heard invited testimony from Mr. Ralph Wayne and  
         Mr. Harry Bradley regarding the Texas State Cemetery Committee.

         The committee heard invited testimony from Ms. Carol Pirie  
         regarding the Texas Film Commission. (See attached witness list) 
          
         At 9:58 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
