         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,  
         2001, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Haggerty,  
         at 6:45 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out SB 107. 
          
         The chair explained the measure.  
          
         The chair offered an amendment to the measure. 
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection. 
          
         The chair closed on the measure.  
          
          Representative Allen moved that SB 107, as amended, be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following  
         record vote:
