         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 22, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Haggerty, at 2:01 p.m.

         Criminal Justice Policy Council, on a proposed funding plan for  
         enhanced mental health services in the Texas Criminal Justice
