         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on April 30,  
         2001, the House Committee on Constitutional Revision, Select met  
         in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Driver, at 4:53 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Driver; Puente; Lewis, Glenn; Mowery;  
                   Solomons (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Dutton (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HJR 69 
          
         The chair laid out HJR 69 as pending business.  
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote of April 24, 2001 by  
         which the committee substitute to HJR 69 was adopted.  The  
         motion to reconsider prevailed without objection. 
          
         The chair moved to withdraw the committee substitute.  The  
         committee substitute was withdrawn without objection. 
          
         Representative Driver offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Driver moved that HJR 69, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the  
         following record vote:  
          
         Ayes:               Representatives Driver; Puente; Lewis,  
                             Glenn; Mowery (4).  
           
         Nays:               Representative Solomons (1).  
           
         Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).  
           
         Absent:        Representatives Bailey; Dutton  (2).  
          
         At 5:15 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
