         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 2001, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Criminal Justice, met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Turner, Sylvester, at 1:35 p.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Sylvester; Gallego; McReynolds  
                   (3). 
         Absent:   Representatives Farrar; Smith (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for  
         Articles IV and V. 
          
         (Representative Farrar now present.)(Representative Smith now  
         present.) 
          
         At 3:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 3:30 p.m., February 19, 2001. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:30 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Turner, Sylvester. The roll was  
         answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Turner, Sylvester; Gallego;  
                   McReynolds; Smith (4). 
         Absent:   Representative Farrar (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
         The subcommittee met to discuss the 2002-2003 budget for  
         Articles IV and V. 
          
         At 3:47 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
