Amend CSHB 1723 as follows:
      (1)  On page 3, line 5, strike "and".
      (2)  On page 3, line 8, after "level;", insert "and".
      (3)  On page 3, between lines 8 and 9, insert:
                  "(E)  develop and fund, or assist institutions of
higher education in developing and funding, training and
educational programs for nurses;".
