This will be a joint hearing with the Senate Committee on
Redistricting for the purpose of taking invited testimony on the
following subjects:

(1) regional hearings:
(2) preclearance under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act (Ms. Gaye
    Hume, attorney, and Ms. Tricia Tingle, trial attorney, Civil
    Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice).
