         was held on Thursday, April 13, 2000, in the Red Lion Hotel,

         The chair called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m.  There being  
         a quorum present at 10:07 a.m., the following business was  
         transacted:   
          
         The Chair made opening remarks and asked other members of the  
         Committee and local Senators for their opening remarks. 
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on State Affairs Committee  
         Charges No. 5 and No. 9  are shown on the attached list.   
          
         There being no further business, at 11:30 a.m. Senator Shapiro  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
