         Pursuant to a notice posted on June 14, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Oliveira, at 1:50 a.m. 
          
         Internet Taxation 
          
         The chair laid out the interim charge to: 
          
              Study the economic impact of Internet commerce on state and  
              local revenues; and, 
              Monitor the activities and recommendations of the federal  
              Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 4:57 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned until 9:00 a.m., June 30, 2000.
