Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20,
1999, the House Committee on Ways & Means met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Ren Oliveira at 12:47 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:

The chair laid out SB 5 as pending business.
Representative Oliveira offered a complete committee
substitute.
Representative Davis, Yvonne offered amendment #1 to the
committee substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Oliveira offered amendment #2 to the committee
substitute.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative McCall moved that SB 5, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
