         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 10,  
         1999, the House Committee on Ways & Means met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Ren  Oliveira at 6:24 pm.

         The chair laid out SB 435 as pending business.

         Representative Craddick moved that SB 435 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and  
         Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:
