         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 4, 1999, the House  
         Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Edmund Kuempel at 8:04 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Davis, John; Ellis, Dan; Homer; Ritter (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Hope (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 687 
          
         The chair laid out HB 687.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Bosse to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Hope now present.)   
          
         Testimony continued. 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Bosse to close on the  
         measure.   
          
         The bill was left pending without objection.  
          
         HCR 23 
          
         The chair laid out HCR 23.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Clark to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The chair recognized Representative Clark to close on the  
         measure.   
          
         Representative Homer moved that HCR 23 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
  
         Ayes:          Representatives Kuempel; Cook; Alexander;  
                        Crownover; Davis, John; Ellis, Dan; Homer;  
                        Hope; Ritter (9). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        None (0). 
          
         At 8:39 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
