On May 6, 1999, pursuant to an announcement on the House
floor, the House Committee on Public Health met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
Patricia Gray at 6:23 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representative Coleman (1).
A quorum was present.
SB 932
Representative McClendon moved to reconsider the vote by which
the measure was reported from committee. The motion to
reconsider prevailed without objection.
Representative McClendon moved that SB 932, as amended, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Gray; Capelo; Delisi; Glaze;
Hilderbran; Maxey; McClendon; Uresti (8).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Coleman (1).
SB 1132
The chair laid out SB 1132, the Senate companion to HB 2669
by Capelo.
The chair recognized Representative Capelo to explain the
measure.
Representative Maxey moved that SB 1132 be reported favorably
to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and
be printed. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Gray; Capelo; Delisi; Glaze;
Hilderbran; Maxey; McClendon; Uresti (8).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).

The chair laid out SB 1223.
Representative Maxey moved that SB 1223 be reported favorably
to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and
be printed. The motion prevailed by the following vote:

At 6:30 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
