         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 7, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments, the House Subcommittee on  
         Local Retirement Systems, met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Tillery, at 10:00 am. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Tillery; Salinas; Williams (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives George; Rangel (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 10:59 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned in memory of State Representative  
         Ronny Crownover, subject to the call of the chair.
