         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14,  
         1999, the House Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Sherri Greenberg at 12:09 pm.

         The chair laid out SB 429, the companion to HB 3773. 
          
         Representative Rangel moved that SB 429 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent  
         Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Greenberg; Bonnen; Clark;  
                        George; Rangel; Salinas (6). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Tillery; Telford; Williams (3). 
          
         SB 1834 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1834 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Rangel moved that SB 1834 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:

                        Rangel; Salinas (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0).

         At 12:15 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
