         Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 3,  
         1999, the House Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Sherri Greenberg at 4:30 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Greenberg; Tillery; Bonnen; Clark;  
                   George; (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Rangel; Salinas; Telford; Williams  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee met in a joint meeting with the Committee on  
         Public Education to discuss teacher health care.

         (Representative Telford now present.)   
          
         (Representative Williams now present.) 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 5:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
