         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 22, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the acting Chair, Representative  
         Ron Clark at 12:17 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Greenberg; Bonnen; Clark; George;  
                   Rangel; Salinas; Williams (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Tillery; Telford (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 2522 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2522 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Clark offered a complete committee substitute.  
          
         (Representative Tillery now present.)    
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Williams moved that HB 2522, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Greenberg; Tillery; Bonnen;  
                        Clark; George; Rangel; Salinas; Williams (8). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representative Telford (1). 
          
         At 12:20 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
