         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 17, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Gary Walker at 8:04 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Hardcastle; Krusee (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 1395.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Averitt to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         Representative Hardcastle moved that HB 1395 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:

                        Fred; Hardcastle; Howard; Krusee; Mowery;  
                        Turner, Bob (9).
