         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 11, 2000, the House  
         Committee on General Investigating met in a public hearing and  
         was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at  
         9:34 a.m. 
          
         No roll was called, but the following reflects member  
         attendance: 
          
         Present:  Representative Gallego (1). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Uher; Crabb; Eiland; Keel (4). 
          
         Chairman Gallego announced that no quorum was present, no action  
         would be taken and comments from the public would be received.   
         The following individuals were recognized by Chairman Gallego to  
         testify: 
          
         Ron Josselet, State Office of Risk Management 
         Morris A. Arnold, Texas Department of Public Safety 
          
         (Representative Crabb now present.) 
          
         Sam Lucchese, General Services Commission 
          
         Chaiman Gallego called for public testimony or comments.  There  
         was none. 
          
         At 9:46 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
