House Committee on Environmental Regulation

         Upon adjournment

         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 16,  
         1999, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Warren Chisum at 1:08 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Chisum; Allen; Culberson; Dukes;  
                   Howard; Kuempel; Palmer; Zbranek (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Talton (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the February 15, 1999, March 8, 1999,  
         March 15, 1999, March 29, 1999, and April 8, 1999 minutes for  
         the House Committee on Environmental Regulation be corrected.   
         The corrected minutes were authorized without objection. 
          
         SB 766 
          
         The chair laid out SB 766.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Allen to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         Representative Howard offered a complete committee substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Howard moved that SB 766, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Chisum; Allen; Culberson;  
                
                        Howard; Kuempel; Palmer (6). 
          
         Nays:          Representatives Dukes; Zbranek (2). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representative Talton (1). 
          
         At 1:13 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
