Pursuant to a notice posted on April 12, 2000, the House
Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and
was called to order by the chair, Representative Hinojosa, at
10:10 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

(5).
Absent: Representatives Garcia; Nixon, Joe; Talton;
Villarreal, Mike (4).
A quorum was present.
Chair recognized Dr. Tony Fabelo of the Criminal Justice Policy

At 12:32 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., April 28, 2000.
The committee reconvened at 1:40 p.m. and was called to order by
the chair, Representative Hinojosa. The roll was answered as
follows:
