         Upon adjournment of subcommittee hearing

         Pursuant to a notice posted on June 23, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Business & Industry, Subcommittee on Healthcare  
         Technology, met in a public hearing for the purpose of a tour of  
         the  M.D. Anderson Cancer Clinic and was called to order by the  
         chair, Representative George, at 1:20 p.m. 
          
         Present:  Representative George (1). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Corte; Dukes; Ritter; Woolley (4). 
          
         A quorum was not present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 2:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 3:00 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair. The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representative George (1). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Dukes; Corte; Ritter; Woolley (4). 
          
         A quorum was not present.

         At 3:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
