Pursuant to a notice posted on April 14, 2000, the House
Committee on Business & Industry, Subcommittee on Contingency
Clauses, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the
chair, Representative Ritter, at 10:20 a.m.
Present: Representatives Ritter; Solomons (2).
Absent: Representatives Corte; Giddings; Siebert (3).
A quorum was not present.
Testimony was taken. (See attached witness list.)

The chair moved that the subcommittee adopt the 76th
Legislature's House Rules for this and future hearings. The
motion passed without objection.

At 1:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.
The committee reconvened at 2:00 p.m. and was called to order by
the chair, Representative Ritter. The roll was answered as
follows:
Present: Representatives Corte; Ritter; Siebert; Solomons (4).
Absent: Representatives Brimer; Dukes; George; Giddings;
Woolley (5).
A quorum was present.

At 3:45 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
