         Upon adjournment 
         House Chamber, Desk 3 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 5,  
         1999, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a  
         formal meeting at Desk 3 and was called to order by the Acting  
         Chair, Representative Dukes at 3:45 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Dukes; Corte; Giddings; Ritter;  
                   Solomons; Woolley (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Brimer; George; Siebert (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 537 
          
         The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 537 was  
         reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed  
         without objection.  
          
         Representative Woolley offered a complete committee  
         substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Dukes moved that HB 537, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
         Ayes:          Representatives Dukes; Giddings; Ritter;  
                        Solomons; Woolley (5). 
          
         Nays:          Representative Corte (1). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Brimer; George; Siebert (3). 
          
         At 3:50 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
