CORRECTED MINUTES
On May 3, 1999, the House Committee on Business & Industry
authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of
the House Committee on Business & Industry held on April 21,
1999. The following are the corrected minutes for that
meeting:
Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 21,
1999, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a
formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,
Representative Kim Brimer at 5:15 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Brimer; Corte; Ritter; Siebert;
Solomons; Woolley (6).
Absent: Representatives Dukes; George; Giddings (3).
A quorum was present.
HB 537
The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure
was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider
prevailed without objection.
The chair laid out CSHB 537.
Representative Woolley offered a complete committee
substitute.
(Representative Dukes now present.)
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Woolley moved that HB 537, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Brimer; Dukes; Ritter; Siebert;
Solomons; Woolley (6).
Nays: Representative Corte (1).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives George; Giddings (2).
HB 2667
The chair laid out HB 2667 as pending business.
Representative Brimer offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Brimer moved that HB 2667, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Brimer; Dukes; Corte; Ritter;
Siebert; Solomons; Woolley (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives George; Giddings (2).
HB 3697
The chair laid out HB 3697 as pending business.
Representative Brimer offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Siebert moved that HB 3697, as substituted, be
reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation
that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the
following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Brimer; Dukes; Corte; Ritter;
Siebert; Solomons; Woolley (7).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives George; Giddings (2).
The chair directed that the April 13, 1999 minutes for the
House Committee on Business & Industry be corrected. The
corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
At 5:20 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
