The Committee will meet to hear public testimony regarding the following
tax policy options.

Options to revise and expand existing taxes, enact new taxes, or increase
tax rates are under review for the purpose of identifying possible sources
of replacement revenue to finance reductions in property taxes, or to
increase the state share of public school funding.

Extend Franchise Tax to Noncorporate Businesses
  (e.g., partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability
   partnerships, professional associations, business trusts, sole
   proprietorships)

Increase Tax Rate on Cigarettes and Tobacco Products

Impose Tax on Aviation Fuels

Adopt State Property Tax (substitute state for local taxation of business
  property for purposes of school finance)

Impose Severance Tax on Lignite

Extend Gas, Electric & Water Utility Tax to Unincorporated Areas
