         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Criminal  
         Justice (Interim) was held on Thursday, April 16, 1998 in the  
         Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

         The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:35 am.  
          
         The following members arrived after the roll was called:   
         none. 
          
         Testimony was taken on the Rehabilitation Tier in the Texas  
         Department of Criminal Justice, and super-intensive parole  
         supervision. 
          
         Witnesses testifying and registering on the Interim Charge are  
         shown on the attached list. 
          
         There being no further business, at 11:00 am the Committee  
         recessed subject to the call of the Chair.
