         Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule  
         11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Interim Committee on  
         Housing was held on Tuesday, February 24, 1998 in Dallas  
         Convention Center, at Dallas, Texas.

         The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:10 pm.  There being  
         a quorum present, the following business was transacted.

         Chairman Lucio closed public testimony. 
          
         Chairman Lucio announced that the committee will meet in  
         Houston on March 20, 1998. 
          
         There being no further business, at 3:35 pm Senator Lucio, Jr.  
         moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of  
         the Chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
