There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The Chair laid out SB 201 and recognized the author, Senator Harris, to explain the bill. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. Senator Barrientos moved that SB 201 be reported favorably to the full Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 10 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Barrientos requested unanimous consent to certify the bill for Local & Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered. The Chair laid out SB 347 and recognized the author, Senator Harris, to explain the bill. Senator Ogden sent up Committee Amendment 1 and moved adoption; without objection, the amendment was adopted. The motion carried with a vote of 7 ayes, 1 nay, 0 present not voting, and 3 absent. Senator Ogden moved adoption of Committee Amendment 1. Senator Wentworth moved that SB 347 be reported favorably as amended to the full Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 10 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. At 2:41 pm Senator Barrientos assumed the chair. The Chair laid out SB 693 and recognized the author, Senator Brown, to explain the bill. Senator Brown sent up a committee substitute, explained the differences, and moved its adoption; there being no objection it was so ordered. Senator Brown moved that SB 693 do not pass but that CSSB 693 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 10 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Brown requested unanimous consent to certify the bill for Local & Uncontested Calendar; without objection, it was so ordered.
