         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 21, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was 
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Tom Craddick at 
         4:09 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Heflin; Stiles; Telford (6).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Holzheauser; Horn; Oliveira; 
                   Thompson; Williamson (5).
