         Pursuant to a notice posted on September 24, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Urban Affairs met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Fred Hill at  
         10:06 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hill; Burnam; Ehrhardt; Garcia;  
                   Hodge (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Bailey; Clark; Shields; Wohlgemuth  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Opening remarks were made by the chair. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Wohlgemuth now present.) 
          
         (Representative Shields now present.) 
          
         At 12:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the committee stood at ease until 1:15 pm. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:20 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Hill.

         At 4:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
