         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 4, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Transportation met in a joint public hearing with 
         the House Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on General 
         Government and was called to order by the Chair, Representative 
         Clyde Alexander at 3:09 pm. 
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Alexander; Siebert; Finnell; Hartnett; 
                   Hawley; Hill; Pickett (7).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Edwards; Uher (2).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         Testimony was taken.  
         
         (Representative Edwards now present.)  
         
         (Representative Uher now present.)  
         
         At 6:25 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection, 
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
