         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 12, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Revenue & Public Education Funding, Select met in  
         a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Paul Sadler at 10:16 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Hochberg (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hilbert; Hernandez; Junell; Stiles;  
                   Williamson; Wilson (6).

         At 11:46 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:00 pm. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:05 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Sadler.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:

                   Hochberg (5).
