         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 21, 1997, the House 
         Committee on State Recreational Resources met in a public 
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative 
         Edmund Kuempel at 8:12 am.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Kuempel; McCall; King; Longoria; 
                   Merritt; Palmer (6).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Hightower; Hilderbran; Horn (3).
         
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 2541 and explained the measure.

         The chair recognized Representative Goolsby to explain the 
         measure.

         The chair recognized Representative Goolsby to close on the 
         measure.

         SB 326
         
         The chair laid out SB 326.  
         
         Representative McCall moved that SB 326 be reported favorably 
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and 
         be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent 
         Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:  
         
         Ayes:          Representatives Kuempel; McCall; Hilderbran; 
                        King; Longoria; Merritt; Palmer (7).
 
         





         
         Nays:          None (0).
         
         Present not Voting:      None (0).
         
         Absent:        Representatives Hightower; Horn (2).
         
         
         At 9:36 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
