         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 27, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Public Safety, Subcommittee on Interim Study #3  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Bill Carter 9:36 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Carter; Madden; Reyna, Elvira (3). 
          
         Absent:   Olivo (1) 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair explained the purpose and goals of the subcommittee.   
         Interim Charge #3: Examine issues related to safety within and  
         around shooting ranges. 
          
         (Representative Olivo now present.)   
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 3:10 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
