House Committee on Public Health
         75th Legislature

         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 31, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Public Health met in a formal meeting and was 
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Hugo Berlanga at 
         2:15 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Berlanga; Hirschi; Delisi; Janek; 
                   Maxey (5).
         
         Absent:   Representatives Coleman; Davila; Glaze; Rodriguez (4).
         
         A quorum was present.
         
         The chair briefly discussed the committee procedure and 
         introduced other members and staff.
         
         At 2:20 pm, on the motion of Representative Delisi and without 
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the 
         chair.
