         Pursuant to a notice posted on January 30, 1998, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments, Subcommittee on Social  
         Investing met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Acting Chair, Representative Tommy Williams at 10:39 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Rangel; Williams (2). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Serna (1). 
          
         Representative Telford was present as Chairman of the full  
         committee. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 12:55 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
