         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 2, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Local & Consent Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Vice-Chair, Representative Bill  
         Carter at 8:37 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Representative Siebert offered a proposed floor amendment to

         Representative Siebert moved that the amendment be approved  
         for offering during floor consideration. 
         The motion prevailed without objection.
