House Committee on Land & Resource Management 
         75th Legislature

         Pursuant to a notice posted on November 13, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Fred Bosse at 9:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Bosse; Turner, Bob; Crabb; Hamric;  
                   Howard; Jackson; Krusee (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Mowery; Staples (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The committee discussed the scope of their interim charges and  
         possible dates for future hearing dates. 
          
         The Chair then recognized Rep. Krusee to explain some of the  
         issues surrounding the City of Austin's 1997 Annexation  
         Program. 
          
         The Chair proceeded by calling persons testify before the  
         committee on the interim charges dealing with municipal  
         annexation and the repeal of SB 1704. 
          
         Testimony was taken.   
          
         At 3:48 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
