         Pursuant to a notice posted on July 7, 1998, the House  
         Committee on State, Federal & International Relations,  
         Subcommittee on Tourism and Official State Symbols and  
         Resolutions met in a public hearing and was called to order by  
         the Acting Chair, Representative Pitts at 10:14 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Chavez; Seaman; West, George "Buddy"  
                   (3). 
          
         Absent:   none 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 12:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without  
         objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m. that  
         afternoon. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:50 p.m. and was called to order  
         by Representative Pitts.  The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   none 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 2:38 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without
