         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 9, 1997, and the  
         suspension of the five-day posting rule to consider HB 3569 on  
         April 14, 1997, the House Committee on Financial Institutions  
         met in a public hearing and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Kenny Marchant at 4:40 pm.
