         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 1, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Steve Holzheauser  
         at 7:21 pm.

         Representative Smithee moved that SB 1906 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following

         Representative Moffat offered an amendment to the measure.   
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection.   
          
         Representative Smithee moved that SB 1354, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the
