         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 22, 1997, the House  
         Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called  
         to order by the Chair, Representative Debra Danburg at 2:20  
         pm.

         The chair laid out HB 1627 as pending business.   
          
         The chair moved to correct the minutes of March 18, 1997, full  
         committee public hearing, to reflect the fact that  
         Representative Ron Clark did testify as a witness in favor of  
         HB 1627.   The motion prevailed by the following record vote.
