         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 17, 1997, the House 
         Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, Subcommittee on DWI met 
         in a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair, 
         Representative  Talton at 4:05 pm.
         
         The roll was answered as follows:  
         
         Present:  Representatives Talton; Farrar; Hinojosa (3).
         
         Absent:   None (0).
         
         SB 35
         
         The chair laid out SB 35.  
         
         The chair recognized Representative Place to explain the 
         measure.  
         
         Representative Talton laid out a complete committee 
         substitute.  
         
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
         
         Representative Hinojosa moved that SB 35, as substituted, be 
         reported favorably to the full committee with the 
         recommendation that it do pass.
         
         The motion passed by the following record vote

         Nays:          None (0).
         
         Present not Voting:      None (0).
         
         Absent:        None (0).
