         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 18,  
         1997, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Mark  
         Stiles at 1:05 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         on the General State Calendar.  The motion was seconded by

         423, HB 546, HB 658, HB 909, HB 2400, HB 2914 and HB 3139 on  
         the General State Calendar.  The motion was seconded by Rep.  
         Hilbert and passed by the following record vote:

         The Chair moved that the Committee adopt a rule for floor  
         consideration of HB4 and HJR 4.  The motion was seconded by  
         Rep. Turner and passed by the following record vote:
